It was nice to read the article about Jermaine Coley, the school counselor at PS 284 in Brooklyn [“Providing ‘fatherly’ guidance,” April 11, 2025, issue]. I remember Mr. Coley from the year I taught at MS 143. He was always an energetic and positive presence at the school, and he had an excellent rapport with the students.
